Immunological Memory 면역학적 기억

Immunological memory에 대하여 생각해본다.

Vaccine의 존재이유는 이 memory를 증강시키기 위함이다. smallpox와 polio의 효과적인 예방은 이러한 memory의 극적인 이용에서 비롯된다.

그럼에도 불구하고 Jenner와 Pasteur이후로 백신의 개발은 완전한 이해를 기반으로 하는 정교한 작업이 아닌 'hit-or-miss' affair(때려맞추기)와 같았다.

Mechanism of monocyte migration

Chemokine-driven migration of monocytes and DC progenitors.

In mice, two populations of circulating monocytes exist: resident monocytes (Mac1⁺Gr1^-F4/80⁺CX₃CR1^hi) and inflammatory monocytes (Mac1⁺Gr1⁺F4/80⁺CX₃CR1^midCCR2⁺). In the absence of an inflammatory stimulus, CX₃C-chemokine ligand 1 (CX₃CL1; also known as fractalkine) and CC-chemokine ligand 3 (CCL3; also known as macrophage inflammatory protein 1, Mip1) preferentially induce the recruitment of resident monocytes into tissues, whereas CCL2 (also known as monocyte chemotactic protein 1, Mcp1) recruits inflammatory monocytes to inflamed tissue. By contrast, dendritic cell (DC) precursors can be recruited directly from the blood to the lymphoid organs, through signalling induced by CC-chemokine receptor 5 (CCR5)–CCL3 interactions. Direct recruitment of inflammatory monocytes to lymph nodes can occur through high endothelial venules (HEVs) and is mediated by CXC-chemokine ligand 9 (CXCL9; also known as monokine induced by interferon-, Mig). After migration to the peripheral tissue, activated inflammatory monocytes can differentiate into DCs and gain access to the draining lymph nodes through the lymphatics. Inflammation leads to upregulation of CCL21 expression by the lymphatics and upregulation of CCR7 by antigen-presenting cells. Activated resident DCs or newly recruited granulocytes can produce factors that inhibit these differentiation pathways and routes of migration. CX₃CR1, CX₃C-chemokine receptor 1.

나는 그간 얼마나 성장했고, 성숙했는가?
항상 탁월해지기를 소망했지만 과연 나의 모습이 탁월함에 가까워져 가고 있는지는 여전히 의문이다.

We never know whether we can be successful in this field but for sure without research, humanbeings could have not achived the great things that promoted genuine progress..

장시간에 걸쳐 준비한 '혈관신생'강의의 발표가 끝났다.

긴장도 많이되고 스트레스도 받았지만 배운 것이 많다.

하나 둘씩 경험이 쌓여가는 것이 참 기쁘다.

순간 죄송한 마음에 재빨리 걸었다

하늘엔 별이 하나도 없었다

아주 오래전부터 일관되게 지켜온 생각이 있다
절대로 돈에 집착해서는 안된다
소유에 대한 집착의 결과는 파멸이다
그것은 직관에 의해서 알고 많은 실례를 통해 안다
내가 아는 현인 중의 자신의 소유물에 집착했던 사람은
단 한명도 없다.
하지만 내가 아는 폐인 중의 대부분은
소유물에 과도한 집착을 했던 자들이다.

난 지금 한푼의 돈도 없다
나에게 많은 돈이 있었다면
렌즈를 낄 수 있었을 것이고
새 보드를 탈 수 있었을 것이고
따뜻한 자켓이나 코트를 입었을 것이고
지하철을 더 적게 탔을 것이며
부모님께 죄송한 마음이 덜 들었을 것이다

슬금슬금 다가오는 돈에 대한 유혹은 너무나 매혹적이다
그것은 다른 모든 가치를 뒷전으로 생각하게 할 정도로 강력하다

이런 상황에서는 내 생각이 많이 흔들린다
소유하고 싶은 욕망이 극에 달하고, 돈의 필요에 목이 말라온다
하지만 이러한 생각에 대한 경계를 일각이라도 놓쳐서는 안된다
이런 생각이 내 머리를 완전히 지배하는 순간, 난 인간이 아니다
'추악한 돼지'다

먼 훗날 내가 책임져야 할 사람이 많아진 후에
지금처럼 생각하지 못하게 될까봐 두렵다
생존적 소유마저 위협받게 되는 위기가 닥친다면 난 어떤 결정을 내릴까?

아~가슴이 터져버릴것만 같다.

오늘은 고급 술집에 갔었다
킨킨으로 가려고 했으나
밀린 외상값도 있구, 무엇보다 잉이의 생일이기 때문에
특별한 곳으로 가야했따
miller병맥주에 맛있는 안주를 시켰다
케익을 사와서 샴페인을 거하게 터트리려고 했는데 망건이 감못잡았다..썩!!
내일 아침에 실험도 있구 퀴즈도 있는데 무리하는거 아닌지 몰겠네~

잉이가 마이크를 무려 두번이나 선언했다
